We wanted to be able to explore the various buildings still in existence from this significant period in history.

Following King Henry VII’s success in the War of the Roses The Tudors ruled over England from 1485 to 1603.
There were 6 Monarchs during this period.
King Henry VII ruled from 1485 to 1509.
King Henry VIII ruled from 1509 to 1547.
King Edward VI ruled from 1547 to 1553.
Queen Jane I ruled for 9 days in 1553 (Not a member of the House of Tudor).
Queen Mary I ruled from 1553 to 1558.
Queen Elizabeth I ruled from 1558 to 1603.
The death of Elizabeth I was to be the end of the Tudor Dynasty.
The Tudors reign over England lasted 118 years and was a very successful and turbulent time for England.
The reign of the Tudors ended with the death of Queen Elizabeth I, as Elizabeth left no heir the throne was passed to King James VI of Scotland who became King James I.
